Today we will send out our 100th issue reflecting on some of the interesting companies and founders we got a first look at.
Since February 2023 we’ve highlighted 500+ companies and founders over 1 full year while also going from 0 to 3k+ subscribers during that time.
From those highlighted, 42 companies received their first check since being featured. (17 of them within 3 months, 25 between 4-7 months)
Our most notable discoveries include
Ideogram, featured in stealth mode 4 months before receiving their first checks from Index Ventures and a16z;
Piper, which emerged from stealth announcing their seed funding 7 months after being featured; and
Chkk, securing their first investment from Sequoia Capital in October after coming out of stealth in February (StealthStartupSpy#8)
Additionally, 15 companies who came out of stealth gained increased investor interest and received additional funding since the featured time.
Essential AI, featured under stealth mode in April recently raised a $56.5M Series A from Google and NVIDIA (Total Funding: $64.5M)
Oleria Security, further raised $32M from Tapestry VC and Salesforce Ventures ( Total Funding: $40M) after coming out of stealth
Our stealth activity signals attracted attention and gained investments from leading firms like GV, Lightspeed, Alumni Ventures, a16z, Sequoia, YC, Index Ventures, and General Catalyst.
We’re going to continue to help you find tomorrow's opportunities that are currently hiding in the shadows so keep supporting us so you can be the first to know when companies go in or out of stealth mode!
So what’s to come…
We currently are working to turn these newsletter highlights into a full product that monitors all stealth activity in real time. You’ll be able to actively track all founders going in and out of stealth mode from an easy to use dashboard that auto updates and notifies you of a key stealth activity change. If you want to be an early beta tester, feel free to shoot me a reply!
That’s all for now. :)
Stay Stealthy,
Drake
